This was a 30-minute pose in a live model drawing session. I like this kind of light very much, a large, old schoolhouse room with one wall of windows behind me. This kind of light falls on the model and darkens every surface moving away from my viewpoint. That permits a very sculptural feeling to be quickly drawn. The dress was black with white stripes. I didn’t spend too much time capturing individual white stripes.
